On May 27, iAffairs Canada co-hosted a virtual panel discussion to address and explore Canada’s engagement and foreign policy toward the Middle East Peace Process and the Palestinians. The discussion centred around the latest addition to the Canadian Foreign Policy Journal, published in March 2021.

This event was organized in partnership with the Canadian Foreign Policy Journal, the Canadian International Council (National Capital Branch), and it was supported by the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs.

The panel featured Dr. Jeremy Wildeman, Emma Swan, and David Viveash, all of whom provided insightful remarks and analysis.

A very engaging ‘Q&A’ period followed, touching on the Jerusalem Old City Initiative, refugee settlement, media coverage of Israel-Palestine, feminist foreign policy, and whether Canada can truly be a key player in the Middle East.
